Lipofirm Med is a medical-grade treatment using TriPollar radiofrequency and Dynamic Muscle Activation. To keep you safe and your results at their best, there are some conditions where the treatment isn't suitable, and others where we'd plan around it or check with your GP first.
Please read this before booking. Every treatment is best begun with a thorough consultation and a full medical history — if anything below applies to you, it doesn't always mean no, but it does mean we need to talk it through first. If you're ever unsure, just ask.
Pacemaker, defibrillator or any implanted electronic device
Lipofirm delivers radiofrequency energy, which must not be used near implanted electronic devices.
Metal implants in the treatment area
RF energy and metal implants in the area being treated are not compatible.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
There's no safety data for RF treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding — we'll happily welcome you once you're past this stage.
A serious medical condition
Conditions such as cancer, lupus, uncontrolled diabetes or an uncontrolled seizure disorder mean treatment isn't appropriate.
Severe bleeding or vascular (circulation) disorders
These affect healing and the skin's response and carry a higher risk of complications.
A chronic skin condition or lesion in the area
Any active or chronic skin issue where we'd be treating needs to be resolved first.
Reduced skin sensation in the area
If you can't reliably feel heat (for example from nerve damage), you can't give the feedback the treatment relies on to stay safe.
A tendency to keloid scarring or slow healing
Where the skin forms keloids or heals slowly, treatment carries a higher risk.
Recent oral retinoids — Roaccutane (Isotretinoin)
Your last use must be at least six months before treatment.
Tattoos or permanent make-up in the area
We do not treat directly over tattoos or permanent make-up, or over the chest area, or anyone under 18.
A history of cold sores
Heat can trigger a flare-up, so we'll arrange preventative cover beforehand.
Regular anti-inflammatories, steroids or healing-related medication
Anything that affects skin healing — NSAIDs, long-term steroids — just let me know so we can plan around it.
A recent tan
Recent sun, sunbed or spray tan should fade before treatment.
Recent surgery, laser, peels or injectables in the area
We'll let everything heal and time it right — Botox around 2–3 weeks, fillers 6 weeks plus, and more invasive procedures longer.
Lipofirm Med is a wonderful choice for people in good general health who want non-surgical lifting, contouring and skin tightening with no downtime. Its TriPollar technology delivers radiofrequency and Dynamic Muscle Activation simultaneously through one applicator.
It's ideal if you're looking to lift, firm and contour the face or body, improve skin tone and texture, or define areas gradually and naturally. As featured on ITV This Morning, it's a trusted, results-led treatment.
The right plan and course length is always decided together at your consultation, tailored to you and the outcome you're after.
Booking an appointment is your confirmation that you've read and understood this page.
That's exactly what the consultation is for. We'll go through your medical history properly, answer every question, and only ever recommend treatment if it's genuinely right for you. Your £50 consultation is redeemable against treatment booked within 30 days.
Book a ConsultationThis page is a guide and not a substitute for professional advice.
